The owner of Mission City Creamery, Chris Leahy, has been making ice cream as a hobby for almost 20 years. About 3 years ago he went to an intensive ice cream making course at Penn State. After returning, he began exploring making his dream a reality.

Mission City Creamery was founded in 2013 and is family owned and operated. The owner's vision is for his shop to be a special place serving gourmet ice cream that is made by hand daily. The company buys locally whenever possible, and all dairy ingredients are organic purchased from Strauss Farms.
